Encounter Point

Encounter Point is a 6-week course that provides people with a safe environment to learn who the Holy Spirit is & encounter His power & presence.

What we see in the scriptures is that Jesus not only wants us to be baptized in water (fully immersed, fully identified with Christ) but he also desires us to be baptized in His Spirit.

In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit came to specific people at specific moments to empower them for specific things. But the Old Testament prophets declared there was coming a day when every believer would receive the Holy Spirit and every believer would be empowered by the Holy Spirit. We see this in Jeremiah 31:31-33 & Joel

2:28-29.

In the New Testament, Paul teaches us how we receive the Holy Spirit at the time of conversion (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19). Luke teaches us that after that conversion experience, we then can be baptized by the Holy Spirit. Or an easier way to understand it, we can be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

It's our desire that we be a church that is fully immersed & fully identified with the Holy Spirit so that we can be empowered to reflect Christ to our friends, neighbours, coworkers & family!
